In Loving Memory of Luis Angel Miller Sr.

With heavy hearts and profound love, we celebrate the life and legacy of Luis Angel Miller Sr., a

loving husband, father, brother, and friend whose impact will be felt for generations. Luis passed

away leaving behind a legacy of unwavering kindness, tireless work ethic, and deep commitment

to his family and community.

Luis was born on September 3, 1954, in Miami, Florida, to the late Wilfred A. Miller Sr. and

America Miller. He was the youngest of four brothers and received his education through the

Miami-Dade County Public School System, where his love for learning and sense of

responsibility began to take root.

Luis met the love of his life, Jacqueline, at a recreational park during an after-care program—an

unexpected meeting that blossomed into a lifelong friendship and eventual marriage. On

February 14, 1981, Luis and Jacqueline united in holy matrimony and were blessed with three

children from their union: Luis, Laquivia, and Lasondra. In total, Luis was the proud father of

five beautiful children, each a testament to the love and strength he carried in his heart.

Luis began his career of service in 1978, working in a children’s home where he cared for

disabled youth, offering them unwavering support, patience, and comfort. Later, he extended that

same compassion during his time working for the Miami-Dade County Public School System,

where he touched countless lives.

By 1981, Luis shifted into the trucking industry, embracing life on the road with the same

dedication he gave to every role he undertook. Over the years, his versatility and passion led him

to wear many hats: from washing cars with care, to running a beloved restaurant, to practicing

the art of hairdressing—Luis was truly a jack-of-all-trades. No matter the task, his commitment,

pride, and warm spirit shone through.

He will be remembered not just for his many talents, but for his gentle soul, sense of humor, and

the love he poured into every relationship. Luis believed in hard work, cherished family, and

embraced each day as an opportunity to give to others.

Luis was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Wilfred A. Miller Sr. and America Miller, as

well as his brothers Wilfred A. Miller Jr. and Jose Miller.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Jacqueline Miller; sons: Luis (Eboni) and Tyari; devoted

daughters: Laquivia (David), Ericka, and Lasondra; brother: Julio (Sandra); sisters: Deborah,

Vanessa, Deva (Lundon), and Margret. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces,

nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will cherish his memory forever.

"A time for departure: for now I have fought a good fight. I have kept the faith: Henceforth, there

is laid up for me a crown of righteousness." — 2 Timothy 4:7-8
